One Bad Apple is a mixed media illustration on board, with some sweet baby rats in a cuddle cup. What you don't realize until you look closely is that one may be up to no good! This was done from a photo taken at The Rat Retreat. 30 percent of the proceeds go to The Rat Retreat.
About Dawn Boswell Burke
I am co-founder and President Emeritus of The Rat Retreat, Inc. I love animals, particularly domestic rats, so they show up in a lot of my work. I live in the Pacific Northwest now, am southern US born and have lived in 7 states. I could easily pick up and move anywhere. I don't much care where I am as long as I can get near some water and am surrounded by trees, rats and birds. I graduated from WSU with a major in Communication and minor in Fine Art. I followed that with 2 more years of art courses at BSU and local small classes. Currently I am focused on Mixed Media Collage. Houses and rats are two current themes in my work.
