In the Idaho Botanical Garden can be seen an old prison. This photo of one of the towers had a surprisingly serene feeling to it.I don't believe a photo from within the prison would evoke the same feeling. Perhaps the calm from this photo comes from the expanse of sky. One can expect that all the former prison occupants now rest there.
I am co-founder and President Emeritus of The Rat Retreat, Inc. I love animals, particularly domestic rats, so they show up in a lot of my work. I live in the Pacific Northwest now, am southern US born and have lived in 7 states. I could easily pick up and move anywhere. I don't much care where I am as long as I can get near some water and am surrounded by trees, rats and birds. I graduated from WSU with a major in Communication and minor in Fine Art. I followed that with 2 more years of art courses at BSU and local small classes. Currently I am focused on Mixed Media Collage. Houses and rats are two current themes in my work.
