About Dawn Boswell Burke
Dawn Boswell Burke is the founder of The Rat Retreat, Inc. (a Boise 501(c) (3) animal rescue) and owner of Fancy Rats Fine Art, Crafts & Photography. She has lived in Boise for 16 years and was raised in the Southeastern United States.
Through her Mixed Media Collage, Burke represents her love of rats, as well as her dreams, memories and desires, with bright colors and playful ephemera. Most of her work has a sculptural element and is made to be touched.
Burke is represented by NfiniT Art Gallery at 405 South 8th Street and in the Boise Airport. She is a member of BOSCO and TVAA and has taken part in many juried shows in the Northwest. Though she has received formal art education Burke maintains a child-like view of the world through her work.
