This is a photo, taken at MK Nature Center in Boise, ID, on transfer artist paper, ironed onto a painted board. The woman from Sargent's "A Morning Walk" looks down and over at "Young Girls In A Rowboat," by Monet---ghostly images from the past in a watery background.
I am co-founder and President Emeritus of The Rat Retreat, Inc. I love animals, particularly domestic rats, so they show up in a lot of my work. I live in the Pacific Northwest now, am southern US born and have lived in 7 states. I could easily pick up and move anywhere. I don't much care where I am as long as I can get near some water and am surrounded by trees, rats and birds. I graduated from WSU with a major in Communication and minor in Fine Art. I followed that with 2 more years of art courses at BSU and local small classes. Currently I am focused on Mixed Media Collage. Houses and rats are two current themes in my work.
